That is a nice little projector. I have used a smaller Epson in the past in much larger rooms. The real question is more of "will you be able to dim the lighting?" and "Will you get to choose the type of screen?" Lighting control and screen type are the two largest influences on projection quality. As far as video projection (DVD) the higher res, the better. Can't have too much brightness when projecting video either, though I was using only about 1600 lumens, and was able to make it work.
